Wake Health exists to enable women to change their world.
Wake Health challenges the way healthcare is delivered.
We believe by offering a holistic, integrated healthcare solution that connect the dots between daily habits, data, diagnostics and doctors, Wake Health enables women to take ownership of their health across every stage of life.
Our Story
Wake Health was founded in 2025 by sisters Madeleine and Phoebe Orr.
Wake grew out of frustration at healthcare that isn’t designed for women. We knew there had to be a better way, so we set out to create one.
We spent a year meeting with women, doctors and researchers to understand where the system is letting women down, and what women are actually looking for in their healthcare providers.
Wake Health evolved over this time, to become the virtual care ecosystem we are currently building. This isn’t where it will end though - Wake Health will continue to challenge how healthcare is delivered as we grow.
FAQs
About Wake Health
-
Wake Health offers a virtual healthcare ecosystem for women. Our current care offering is a virtual healthcare clinic, where you can attend telehealth appointments with fellowed GPs, and a mobile platform that connects the dots between your health data, doctor, diagnostics and daily habits.

-
Wake Health is available for all health conditions, across your whole body.
Virtual care is not a substitute for in person care in every situation. Some presentations require physical examination, observation, testing or immediate intervention. In these cases, your Wake Health clinician may refer you to in person care.
-
Wake Health specialises in female and womens health. If you identify as a woman or were assigned female at birth, Wake Health has been made specifically for you.
Wake Health is an inclusive provider, and we welcome and create a safe environment for all our patients. Our clinicians undergo training to provide informed support to patients who are sex and gender diverse (including trans), living with a disability, racially and culturally diverse, First Nations and neurodiverse.
-
Most telehealth providers are built around high volume, transactional models of care that are not specific to womens health and needs. Wake has been built from the ground up with the unique needs and experiences of women in mind.
Wake Health is focused on continuity, appropriate care and long term patient trust. When you meet with a Wake clinician, you will:
Feel listened to and believed
Understand what’s happening and why, including what’s normal, what isn’t, what’s been ruled out and what’s still open.
Make decisions with your doctor, so you have control over your health.
Undergo proactive investigation and root cause diagnosis so we’re not just treating symptoms.
Only have to share your story once.
After your appointment, the Wake Health app keeps you on track and in touch with your clinician, so you are supported every step of the way.

Wake Health consults are longer than standard GP appointments to give you and your clinician sufficient time to understand and explore your health.
Before your consult
Prior to your consult, we’ll ask you to complete onboarding through our mobile app. Onboarding provides an overview of your current health, medical history, family history, lifestyle, reproductive health and your social and psychological health.
Your clinician will review your onboarding and any other data you’ve entered into the app or previous appointments before your consult.
During your consult
Your clinician will start your consult by understanding what matters most to you and what you want to leave the consult with. You’ll agree on priorities if you have more than one concern.
You’ll have the opportunity to share your story in your own words and how it affects your daily life.
Your clinician will confirm details and will work with you on next steps. These may be diagnostic, investigative, treatment-based, behavioural, or a combination. Your clinician will explain the purpose of each step and answer any questions.
You’ll create an action plan. The Wake Health mobile app is your companion to set your plan, track your progress and manage your health.
Before finishing your appointment, your clinician will confirm you are satisfied and answer any final questions you may have. They’ll share clinical notes and any referrals, letters or test requests in the app so you can view them anytime. If a follow up appointment is needed, we can book you in.

Your health goal can be anything you want to achieve in your health. We find there are three main types of goals our users strive for:
Achievement goals: to achieve a specific, time bound outcome or milestone. For example, losing 5 kilos.
Management goals: manage a condition or your general health over time. For example, maintaining energy levels, or tracking treatment adherence
Understanding goals: to learn more about your health, understand specific symptoms or patterns, or identify triggers. For example, understanding perimenopause symptoms or migraine triggers
We recommend focusing on one main goal at a time to keep it achievable.
